1 Free sample file

The free sample file for UK allows you to test if POI files can be installed on your navigation device.
Install sample file according to this installation guide.
Afterwards search in your map for 50mph speed cameras.
Find available speed cameras in our speed camera map.

Download sample file

Try before purchase. Refund excluded after download started of full database.

 

2 Download speed camera files

1. Go to our page for TomTom OEM products.
   We offer only data of fixed speed cameras.
   Press button Download.

   

2. Make your decision on the download page.
   Use preselection on the left or country list on the right.
   Press CTRL key for multiple choice.
   
   

   

3. Choose your speed camera icon.
   Import of icons is possible in many devices (not all devices). Select one of the available options.
   See sample icons under each option. The number of speed cameras is the same for each option.
   
   

   

4. Press button Download Now.
   Save file tomtom.zip on your hard disc.
   
   Note: In most cases, the file is saved directly to the download folder of the computer. Depending on your browser settings, sometimes you can choose the save location by yourself.
   
   

   

5. Unpack the zip file.
   You get the folder tomtom. It contains 2 files: one OV2 and one BMP.
   
   Unpacking on a Windows computer: right-klick on the zip file > Extract all...
   Unpacking on a Mac Computer: double-klick on the zip file.
   
   

   

 

3 Installation of speed cameras

6. Connect TomTom SD-card (e.g. Mazda NB1, Mazda Navigation AVN1) to your computer.

7. Open Windows Explorer.
   Search for map folder on SD-card.
   
   The map folder can have several names (e.g. Europe or Western_and_Central_Europe or Western_Europe).
   Send us your screenshots in case of any help.
   
   

   

8. Copy and paste OV2 and BMP files into your map folder.

9. Insert SD-card to device (e.g. Mazda NB1).
   Start the engine.
   Start the navigation.

10. Enable alerts in the device menu (navigation settings).

4 Updating speed cameras

Repeat all steps of the guide above to update speed cameras in your device.
