Hi there.

Are you a native speaker? Would you be willing to help us?
We are very appreciative of translations, proofreading or pictures/screenshots to help optimize our installation guide. Or any other advice.
Please don't hesitate to write us an email: info@scdb.info. Thanks in advance.

1 Important note

Opel Touch & Connect units only read USB drives formatted as FAT/ FAT16.

The installation requires a USB flash drive formatted as FAT/ FAT16 (not: FAT32). Therefore use a USB flash drive with maximum capacity of 4 GB. USB drives over 4 GB cannot formatted as FAT/ FAT16. Be aware of the capacity!

2 Download speed camera data

  1. Go to our product page for Opel Touch & Connect.
We offer only data of fixed speed cameras.
    Press button Download.

  2. Make your decision on the download page.
Use preselection on the left or country list on the right.
Press CTRL key for multiple choice.

  3. There is only one option in step 2.
The speed camera database will be loaded as 1 file.

Note: The download covers only 1 ASC file. The displayed icon is not included in the download because Opel Touch & Connect devices can not import custom POI icons.

  4. Press button Download Now.
Save file opel.zip on your hard disc.

Note: In most cases, the file is saved directly to the download folder of the computer.
Depending on your browser settings, sometimes you can choose the save location by yourself.

  5. Unpack the zip file.
    You get unzipped file SCDB_Camera.asc.

Unpacking on a Windows computer: right-klick on the zip file > Extract all...
Unpacking on a Mac Computer: double-klick on the zip file.

Note: Do not try to open the file with any program. The file can get damaged and become unusable.

3 Preparing USB flash drive

  1. Connect the USB flash drive (maximum capacity of 4 GB) to the computer.
Reformat the USB drive as FAT/ FAT16 (not: FAT32 or exFAT) each time before use.
Do not use the quick format option.

Reformat as FAT/ FAT16 before using is strictly recommended.
USB drives over 4 GB cannot be formatted as FAT/ FAT16.

  2. Create a new folder myPOIs on the USB drive.
    Open the folder myPOIs.
Create a new subfolder myPOIWarnings in the first folder.
    Open folder myPOIWarnings.
Copy and paste the file SCDB_Camera.asc into the folder myPOIWarnings.

Attention: The correct spelling of folder names "myPOIs" and "myPOIWarnings" is very important!
Do not use spaces between the letters!
Pay special attention to upper and lower case letters.

Now it should look like this on your USB stick:
