Speed cameras for Becker Z-series
Installation Guide
- Log in to SCDB.info with your access key and go to Downloadcenter. Before starting the download you have to select your desired countries. After that push Download button and save the file becker-z.zip to your hard disk.
- In our example we save the file becker-z.zip in the folder "C:/temp".
- Please unzip the overlay with a suitable program - we recommend WINZIP - to a target folder of your choice in your computer. In our example, we selected the folder "C:/temp/becker-z".
- Now the folder "C:/temp/becker-z" contains the unzipped file SpeedCamText.txt.
- Switch on your Becker device and connect it to the PC over the USB cable. It appears as an memory drive in your computer.
- Go to folder ".../iGO8/CONTENT/speedcam", delete all files in this folder. Now copy the file SpeedCamText.txt into this folder.
Disconnect your Becker device from the computer and reboot it. - Connect your Becker again to the computer and go folder ".../iGO8/CONTENT/speedcam". The reboot was creating two new files: speedcam.spdb and SpeedcamUpdates.spud.
- Delete the file SpeedcamUpdates.spud. Now rename the file speedcam.spdb to SpeedcamUpdates.spud!
Disconnect your Becker device from the computer and reboot it. Go outside with your Becker device, switch it on and get GPS fix. - Go to the new created menu "Settings/Navigation settings/Danger spot" or "Settings/Navigation settings/Speedcam". Here you are able to activate settings for speedcams.
Advice!
Delete all installed speedcams with button "Remove danger spots function".
- The alert for speedcams will apear on the top of the Becker screen.
